Co-ops
EQ Agriculture was involved in setting up some of the first farmers' co-operative societies in Scotland, and today we act for a number of co-operatives which have been set up to meet a range of objectives for their members.
Co-operatives are a vehicle for members in a common, but not necessarily narrow, field to pool resources to maximise outputs and/or reduce costs and help with initiatives to add value to produce. For example, the co-operative may take the form of a machinery ring, a processing facility, or a marketing agency.
