Re-accreditation for Mark Wilken
The partners of EQ are pleased to confirm that Mark Wilken, a manager in the EQ Agriculture Division in Forfar, has been re-accredited by Lantra as an adviser under the Farm Business Adviser Accreditation Scheme for Scotland (FBAASS).
The FBAASS scheme was established by the Scottish Executive and is the foremost quality assurance scheme for professionals delivering whole farm advice in Scotland.
Only accredited advisers are allowed to deliver whole farm advice under the Whole Farm Review Scheme, which is operated by SEERAD to provide grant aid of up to £1,850 for business advice to farming and crofting businesses in Scotland.
The FBAASS scheme was introduced in 2004 and Mark has been accredited since the scheme was implemented. Accreditation must be renewed annually and is only awarded to individuals who can demonstrate a sufficiently high standard of service delivery. Mark graduated with a BSc in Agriculture from Aberdeen University and worked for ten years for a national firm of agricultural consultants before joining EQ and qualifying as a chartered accountant.
Since the pilot scheme for Whole Farm Reviews was launched in October 2003, he has completed in excess of 30 reports for farming businesses throughout Scotland, operating within many diverse farming sectors.
The assessors reviewing Mark's work were impressed by the high level of service he provides and had no hesitation in approving his re-accreditation.
Graeme Davidson, a partner in the Forfar office said, "As a firm we are committed to providing high quality accountancy, tax and consultancy services to the agricultural sector. I am therefore delighted that Mark's expertise has been recognised by this accreditation scheme".
